Apache2Triad Help, Support and Development

I'm working on a program for system/network admins who are using Apache2Triad, and wanted to see if there was anyone who would like to contribute. Currently I'm working on 2 things for it.

#1 *link removed updates in later post* Dos network tools which will be inlcuded into the main project. Currently it is nearing completion as nbtstat command is still being added, but ipconfig, ping, traceroute, nslookup, netstat, route, arp, and nbtstat commands should work. I'm needing somebody to test for bugs on these commands, espcially arp, and route.

Sorry to anybody who tried to d/l the dnt.exe I had my server set to block all get/post requests for exe files, you can now d/l the zip.


#2 *link removed updates in later post* Apache Assistant, currently in the design phase, and many tabs are empty placeholders. This program will be a small collection of free network tools, and will be designed to assist admins of Apache2Triad bundle.

If anybody is interested in co-developing, FAQ /documentation writing, beta-testing/bug finding. your help is appreciated. You may pm me, or visit http://jaydium.servehttp.com and post in the forums. (I'll only update this thread when updates to the software are made so as not to clutter these forums).

On a note ApacheAssistant, and DNT programs will be wriiten in VB6.0, but included tools may be anything ranging from scripts to executables.

1 thing ... when I first start DNT.exe, all is good except at the start up, the DOS command line shows NETSTAT instead of IPCONFIG .. Its cleared up after you select somethign else and switch back .. pic included

i have been working on this for the past week its all in python
basically it starts / stops services and backups mysql, htdocs, slimftpd.conf httpd.conf mailusers.tab and domains.tab
oh yea and it also goes in the systray

i am considering a a2t manager for systray , have you guys had any progress on these ?

i had added apache assistant to the tools section on the apache2triad download page , josh if you are still planning to work on this i can give you sourceforge permissions to add new releases there by yourself

rich thanks for your interest. It is being developed, and is nearing the 0.2 release. I'm working with mancini on features, and am going to make it inter-operate with some other new tools. I'm aiming for a release at the same time as the new A2T bundles.

All program features should work, and have been tested (on XP). However some features may be added/removed in later versions as more integration into A2T is planned.
