im using current vers of zonealarm and it is a rather large memory hog beaing my server has only 196mb i need somthing that takes up no more than aprox 5 if posable za takes up around 30 to 50 mb
runnning windows xp still not convortable with linux to migrate to it i know it would be secruerer but i want to be more fluent in it befor i make the switch for the server |

I have always like Tiny.

It has a small footprint and has excellent protection.
I've heard Kerio is fairly small and works well also, but I haven'te used it.

well was looking for somthing on the free and opensouce side
ive herd of kerio also know its same comany as mcAfee bit expensive dont think much of ther histroy of crashing in with mcafee vscan and others in that line. had a personal experance with it on win 95 while teaching web publishing in 9th grade.
sounds like i may have a project to work on if i knew more about how a firewall works in detale i might try wrightg one.
