Can't get ftp service to start. It was working fine and then all of a sudden - no luck. I have checked log, and the file is empty. I have checked apache server logs, and I see no reference to ftp anywhere. I tried using services and it won't start there either returing a login failure.
I have changed nothing over the past few weeks and it has worked fine. I would post up logs, but as I said, the file is empty.
Will someone guide me to the fix? I am currently running .4 - Thought about upgrading to .5 but sourceforge won't load the page for slimftpd.
Tried creating new user and logging in first, but when I learned the service won't start via a2t control panel or system32 services, I figured the problem was not user related.
I also killed firewall with no luck. Antivirus is NOT running in systray either.
edit: ANYONE#???? I am down right now b/c of this. |

My advice is to try the tradional things.
Verify your configs
See if you have somthing listening on the port the service is on.

| Tried all the configs - will try netstat. Funny how it would just quit on me out of the blue. |

i know this is an old topic but i have found a solution for this error (1069) and maybe some other people need it
first of all i think this happens when u change ur pw for apache2triad
so go to start, run, then type in services.msc
look for Apache2Triad SlimFTPd Server
double click that, then click the log on tab, under this account-Password and comfirm password, type in ur apache2triad password
it worked for me and i was getting the same error code as posted above...
