| will apache2triad run on windows 2000? just wondering cause i'd rather not install fedora core if i dont have to. |

| Yes, I run version 1.5.3 on windows 2000 pro service pack 3 and windows 2000 server with all m$ patches. |

the software in apache2triad works best under Windows NT version 5.0 (that its Windows 2000)
i trought i made it clear allready , incidentally i run and build apache2triad on windows 2000 SP4
beyond that my next advice is Windows NT version 5.2 (Windows 2003)
either way try to stick with server windows releases , desktop versions like XP (NT 5.1) or Vista (NT 5.3) are not advised |

Thank you Vlad for setting me straight on the versions that you and your friends have built this wonderful system on. I use the win2000 pro version only on my home box to make the scripts for the win2000 server boxes. I should have made that a little clearer.
I have found that with both windows and linux it is hard to get things to match and work without going through living hell, and some versions fit good with what I have. For a fact, I can say nothing bad about the hard work that you and everyone that contributes to apache2triad. All I have is good things to say.
I do wish to say this to those who do not understand what it takes to make things work. If these people can not work with something that works, or want more than what it is built to do, the should go ahead and build it themselves.
