In IIS it's simple, but Apache is a beast, I have no clue how to even go about designating other folders on my machine and naming them for access via my webpage (currently in htdocs folder)
I am such a newbie. Can anyone help me? |

We could help you better if you were a little more specific about what you wanted to do. What you want to add, where you want to add it. By looking at the topic it seems that you want to have the site hosted on the 'H' drive. If that is the case you should probably want to make a VirtualHost. There are many topics about VirtualHosts on this forum, so look around at them. If you don't know what you're looking at, while looking at VirtualHosts you should post here with exactly what you are trying to do.
It would also help knowing what OS you are using. People using that OS could also be able to help you more, seeing how they probably have done it themselves. |

No... I would not want to make a virtual host, which is an addition domain from outside my IP. I got it working. This is what I had to do: open httpd.conf and add an alias for the directory on my server PC.
Thanks for the response anyway.

Yeah! It's sweet, I like this Open Source stuff alot more than Windows IIS.
Thanks! |
