This is exactly what I was complaining about earlier.
Just look at the other WAMP solutions, they are constantly releasing updates.Whereas AT is still lagging
Just check out Xampp, are constantly releasing updates.
Their latest update was on "XAMPP for Windows 1.6.2, 2007/05/29"
Only a week old.
This is what is included in their package.
Quote: ###### ApacheFriends XAMPP (basic package) version 1.6.2 ######
+ Apache 2.2.4
+ MySQL 5.0.41
+ PHP 5.2.2 + PHP 4.4.7 + PEAR
+ PHP-Switch win32 1.0 (please use the "php-switch.bat")
+ XAMPP Control Version 2.5 from www.nat32.com
+ XAMPP Security 1.0
+ SQLite 2.8.15
+ OpenSSL 0.9.8e
+ phpMyAdmin 2.10.1
+ ADOdb 4.94
+ Mercury Mail Transport System v4.01b
+ FileZilla FTP Server 0.9.23
+ Webalizer 2.01-10
+ Zend Optimizer 3.2.4
+ eAccelerator 0.9.5 für PHP 5.2.2 (comment out in the php.ini)
Seriously, even though Xampp has the lastest updates. I still want to use AT2, as I believe its the best WAMP solution.
But please, it has to keep with the rest on updates. I really love AT2 and how it operates.
I want it to be the Best and have the fastest releases. |

they will release an update when admins/mods think one is due.
The grass always looks greener on the otherside ;) |

When the last time the grass had been irrigated is over a year and a half ago it doesn't mean the grass is grayer, it means it's dead |

I dont think Triad is dead..
Things can be slow sometimes. But Not dead.
The day triad is dead, this forum will no longer exist ;)
Inlife some things can be pushed back of the que, especially when more of the guys have full time jobs and families to feed |

I had no criticism on a2t developers, but this is a competition, and if they can't update it frequently, most of the users will prefer to move to another wamp release |

I know what you mean, But Ive had a2t on my server for a while, and its never let me down.
So i will stick by it untill then.
Iam sure the guys are working on something on the side.
Maybe one of the admins can chime in and clarify whats going on |

I have spoken with Mancini awhile back and he is very busy with other projects (that pay the bills). I myself have been pursuing CMS plugins, and CMS design (not to mention work/family/other hobbies). As I don't have the full code base I've only made quick hack updates. However, I am willing to try to develop some more but I personally haven't had the need to update any of my servers. If anyone else is interested the basic install scripting is already in the quickhacks. You can use it to update anything you want.
Honestly though use whatever WAMP stack you like the best. I decided on A2T after trying quite a few. Also look into LAMP's as that's one direction I will be going in a years time.
So in closing, if there's enough demand for a specific update I'll work one out. But feel free to find a system that suits you best, or help with some coding. |

| Josua and Cig: What's the obstacle to you taking over A2T from Vlad? If it's money, then I'd like to help create a drive to solve that. My primary skill set is PR/Marketing but somehow I've been drug into the server world. There's so much praise for this package that it's a shame to let it wither. What can we do? |
