right..
I have an external domain, which I point to my static IP address.
and apache works, forums work.
However when I putin my external ip address or domain name into a browser, it just sits their doesnt load.
However, if i then put in localhost, or server ip address it works..

Ive actually fixed it,
my modem is a zyxel 660hw which supports, CLI and loopback.
I read other posts here, and some on wirpool.net and managed to fix it via telnet
commands i used was
ip nat loopback on |
