If you'd like to try something different than SlimFTPd for your FTP server, but still want it to be opensource you can try FileZilla. I made an unofficial quick install for A2T at ftp://jaydium.servehttp.com/A2%20FileZilla0_9_23.zip It is for the FileZilla Server Version 0.9.23beta.
If you'd like to try it:
(1) download and copy to your apache2triad folder, and run the exe.
(2) open the FileZilla folder, and run A2TInstall.bat
*Please note this is the 1st release of this install

Things to consider before changing:
No php interface.
Does include ftp and ftps support
larger footprint than SlimFTPd
Does require an open port for remote adminstration
GUI environment only for adding users / sites |
