Hi everyone
I've been using A2T for several months now and there is not a day that goes by that I am not absolutely amazed at what a sheer work of art this WAMP is and the awesome amount of time and dedication that must have gone into creating it.
But alas...while the versions of Apache, MySQL and PHP included with it appear to be relatively new and "modern", there seems to be no easy way of upgrading these since they are so tightly integrated into A2T.
What's more, the creator seems to have lost interest and moved on to other endeavors, created a blog and has stated here several months ago that perhaps there would never be another updated release as well as all of the hurdles he was encountering with respect to his time, problems with Windows, etc.
It just seems a pity to spend years creating such a beautiful piece of software, only to abandon it to pursue other interests. Newer versions of Apache, PHP, MySQL, PERL, etc are out now and yet A2T has not been updated in years.
Is this what it has come to?...so sad...
