Hiya all wizzards, i installed apache2triad without any problems, anything works without any problem, i can test my php scripts, MySQL works, the server runs.......BUT, no one can connect to my server,,,all they see is after a while that they cant connect, I myself actually can connect trough all 3 pc´s i have on my own little network, those pc´c connect trough a ethernet hub to the inet (all have a different IP), if i let them connect to my IP nr all works fine,,,but no one else out there can connect.
I dont know what i did wrong, i havent changed anything in any config, the only thing I can think of is that my ISP is using proxy...
can this be the reason, or did i something wrong?
THX in advance.
greetz vint
i run version a2t 1.2.1 and the default XP firewall is disabled,,,i dont have any others running...and i connect trough a hub, not a router (i dont think i can change anything on that). |

Are oyu using a router? or is the server on a pc not directly connected to the net (ie NAT)?
of so you need to setup port forwarding on your router for port 80
Check your router manual for instructions on how to do this,
However it could be possible that your isp blocks incoming on port 80. try using a different port maybe, just to test. Do this by opening httpd.conf and changing 'Listen 80' to whatever prot you want, eg 'Listen 2000' |

Im not using a router, but a ethernet hub, i cant configure anything on that, and yes I have a direct connection to the www.
Im gonna try that port thingy, sounds like a good thing to me, because my ISP dont allow their clients to run servers. But my noobness wasnt aware of "posible" port blocking.
ty for youre tip i am gonna try it right away :)
edit....YESSSSS the port thing did the trick!!!!!!!!!!!!! thx allot :)
