I must be missing the configuration setting somewhere. But, my instance of apache is not correctly reading my jsp files. I am assuming that since tomcat reads them correctly, apache would as well.

Is this a correct assumption or just another logical falacy?

Does Apache read Java Server Pages?
If so, how do I configure it to do so?

I would assume that it should auto read them.

You must have meant interpret instead of read

Anyways Apache is a web server , it does not interpret anything

For example if you want it to interpret php you install a php interpreter under apache

In your case you need to install Tomcat under apache
