well if I put a file inside of each of their folders, they could easily delete it, and that would only prevent php from escaping, not everything

How would I go about controlling the folders with .htaccess? a file in each of their folders? or one in my root? and what would I put in it?

Is there a way to set it dynamically? I use mod_vd for mass virtual hosting, so I don't use virtual hosts.

Which is faster php through mod php5? or through cgi? Based on the default install I would guess mod php5 is faster, but I just wanted to make sure, thanks.
