after you modified the hpptd.conf settings did you restart apache? if not then that could be the reason why your modifications aren't working.

Yes I have checked and the Apache service is actually running.

EDIT: I have noticed that it only occurs when I restart apache and in order to solve the problem I need to reboot my PC.

Yes my domain resolves to my ip but my subdomains do not.

no nothing is listening on the port already. The syntax is OK. What is the problem then?
