Hi all !

Ok i know maybe this is stupid, but i'm still using A2T version 1.4.1 even though there is a new release with lots of additions and improvements.

I'm hesitant to update because i have A2T 1.4.1 working like a dream, thanks to ' Vlad '.

His hard work is greatly appreciated.

So, anyways... i have a little question.

From what little i understand at the moment (knowledge of A2T growing everyday) XMail is the server and Uebimiau is the client.. at the moment i can login to Uebimiau using admin@mydomain.com , and i can send and receive mail without any problems.

Is it possible to create more accounts ?
e.g current is admin@mydomain.com
i'm looking to add : support@mydomain.com and services@mydomain.com and such...

Can this be done ? If so, how ?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

http://localhost/phpxmail/

log in and goto "domains" , somewhere in there you can add users, or you can add alias's for a particular email..

open \htdocs\uebimiau\inc\config.php

look for

Code:
########################################################################
# Add a "footer" to sent mails
########################################################################

change the next line (footer$) to

Code:
$footer = "";

Why would you want to lose the name tag??? Seems to me that the developer deserves a shout....

It could be a security issue if your worried about it. The less the client knows about what you're running the more they'll have to work to compromise the system.

If your not worried about such things, or if you want to help give back to the software you use then you should advertise.

Please read up on the GPL here. .. Any modification is OK, and since the user of such software is aware of the program and it's Author it is OK. The receiver of such email where the tag would be does not need to know, hence the tag may be removed. These types of post's have been ongoing since GPL was born. Bottom line: it's GPL'd, you may modify it anyway you wish, as long as you leave the author intact.

I, in fact, removed the footer myself awhile back. To me it's cheesy to have a footer.
