i was stumped for 2 hours wondering why the fsockopen was not working.....went to error logs and saw this:

Code:
PHP Warning:  pfsockopen(): unable to connect to ssl://ups.com/ups.app/xml/Rate:443 (Unable to find the socket transport "ssl" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?

Well umm how do i fix this...i did a phpinfo and saw that it was not in there then did a lil google on other peoples phpinfo and some had it in.

Some might say why not just use cURL....Well I am building a cURL veriosn and one using fsockopen.....

If anyone knows how to fix this let me know.....

and by the way GREAT SOFTWARE never saw ANYTHING better love the CP

with php5 is as easy as loading the openssl extension in your code with dl() or uncomment "extension=php_openssl.dll" in php.ini

but with php4 this does not actually work under windows . you need to get a patched php4ts.dll from http://ftp.emini.dk/pub/php/win32/openssl/ and replace yours with

Shouldn't it be?
Code:
https://ups.com/ups.app/xml/Rate

...and not?
Code:
ssl://ups.com/ups.app/xml/Rate:443

or if ssl is intentional then maybe:
Code:
ssl://ups.com:443/ups.app/xml/Rate

i will try it but either way PHP does not have SSL enabled

I could use cURL which is enabled by PHP which cURL has SSL enabled BUT alot of servers dont have cURl and this is not for me....

Demoric ssl:// , tls:// , udp:// , tcp:// etc are internal php handlers that can be used with http://php.net/fsockopen
