i need help if possible after 9 attemps of installation

i would like to set a differant document root to point to my webfiles

i have some understanding of this but not totally sure

when i reconfig the htttpd.con for new docroot its does work but then i can't use the the cpanel or other addons under htdocs throughs out an error

i would like either to change the doc root or add a public_html to the htdocs and still use the features

even when i add a Public_html folder no ooh the other scripts work????

i would like to point to c:/www/public folder and still have use te scripts and cpanel

what do i have to do tbe able to do this if it is possible?

any forum post with answer would be great Very Happy

is ther a way to hide the folders under localhost?

also i would like to shorten apche2triadcp to cpanel to make it eaiser for login

by the way now i have the services running it is one help of a configed server

i am sorry to say that i don't under stan a lot of the post could some1 help explain the

Document root/alias part and explain in major detail and give example sorry for being a complete moron

Did you ever get this issue resolved?

I have successfully done thi sand have my doc root as D:/work/www/

You just need to edit the httpd.conf file and change it in there in a few places. Then restart apache, and will work fine.
