Hi
(sorry for my english ^^')
i downloaded and tested the apache2triad 1.3 just about 2 days before and was really impressed of the new features. php worked great and with no problem. (on my working-machine @ work)
so i wanted to install it on my own pc at home to. and there the trouble beginns:
Code: | Unable to load dynamic library 'C:\apache2\PHP\extensions\php_mysql.dll' -could't find the especified process |
i know - thats not the first time, that you hear about that. i searched the internet for fixes or sth. like that and found many pages. at first this: (other, older post)
http://apache2triad.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=763&highlight=mysql+dll
i done it but doesn't work. sure, there is no more error message, but the mysql still isn't working. i can't loggon per phpmyadmin or anyother tool.
the day after (@work) i wanted to open my old mysql-database. and the same:
Code: | #2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) |
but there was never a error-message with mysql.dll or so at all before. i started the task-manager and wanted to to look, if the process is running but no mysql is running.
so maybe it's a (or two) problem(s) wich don't create a error msg in apache.
please, need help fast. my old db's are important.
thx. Monkey
pc @work:
winXP Pro 2002 SP1 German
old phptriad-version (uninstalled before installing apache2triad): 2.2
pc @home:
winXP Home 2002 SP1 German
old phptriad-version: 2.2
manually updated php: 4.3.x |

the issue with the loading of the libraries is restricted to the XP version of windows so i couldn't know of it before the release
usually i had someone test apache2triad on xp and 2003 for me as i only do that on win98 se and win2k sp4
it seems that windows xp has a broken handling of the locations from where a program loads its libraries |

do you have the possibility to fix this problem with xp soon?
i wonder, that it works on the XP pro but not on the XP home.
do you know, whether apache2 works unproblematic with XP SP2? |

i have not access to any version of the XP platform so i cant really say but i reckon the problem is in its infrastructure and occurs on all versions
well i thought
Quote: | LoadFile php\bin\libmysql.dll |
fixes the problem
and you said it fixed by itself
see http://apache2triad.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=781
do you get that too ? |

well obviously this is not a isolated issue , anyone experiencing it please quote theirs "php config" section from httpd.conf , it is located between "#php config" and the newline before "#perl config" |

the error should happen only if you do not have the php_mysql extension loaded , and it is configured to load by default with apache2triad , so see http://localhost/apache2triadcp/info.php and search for "MySQL Support" if not found it means the extension is not loaded because of a error that occured if php.ini is the apache2triad default , or by user configuration if "extension=php_mysql.dll" is commented out in php.ini
so please state which is your case
also where/when does this message exactly apear and what do the logs say ? |

I discovered that the problem I was having was that I was using apache2triad when I had not uninstalled the apache that had been installed with Zend Development Environment, after uninstalling this I was able to use the php_mysql extensions. the problem is that php doesn't know which directory to look in, so it looks in the first one that is on %PATH% and discovered Zend... fixed now though |
