ive read the 'readme' and followed the instruction on how to add uses in the conf file for slimftp. Ive tried everything i can, and cant seem to add a user. Any help would be welcomed...thanks for this wonderful bundle

heres a snip of my conf file :

<User "root">
Password "password"
Mount / c:\apache2\ftpdocs\
Allow / All
</User>

regardless of what i put there....its as if it doesnt even read the conf file. Ive tried restarting the service and my computer...still no luck

the configuration quote is fine
best bet is that that your windows does not actually restart the service
you have this alternatives :

1-repeating the service restart thing and looking into slimftpd.log for "SlimFTPd is starting." lines
2- typing in a shell "net stop slimftpd" then "net start slimftpd"
3- typing in a shell "killproc /k slimftpd.exe" then clicking slimftpd.exe to start it
4- rebooting the pc

thats all i can think for now
