I tried to do this, so I would have seperate databases (away from each other). The 2 sql servers conflict with each other, even though they are on different ports. Is there a way around this..?

i havent seen or read nothing related to this

however there is a slim chance it would be posible

but it needs more knowledge on the subject and confiiguration than just changing ports

make sure you have 2 directoried with the separate mysql instalations
configure each one to use a specific config file
configure each one to use a specific mysqld.exe .. (under services in the registry)

and im sure there are a lot of other things
