Hey Vlad... Sorry if I am being a N00b... but can you please tell me how to make the SlimFTpd permit changing the attribs when I connect to my ftp server? I went to http:myip/phpsftpd/ and clicked of config on my username then where it says "Allow" I tried everything there and it's still not working... and when I use for example CuteFTP PRO ... FTP client .... and try to change the attribs there it tells me... that the ftp server doesn't understand what "777" means... (777 the attribs)... so can you guys help me plz...

you cannot chmod on a windows server.

So I can't set-up a phpbb forum? because I need to change the config.php attribs to "666".... If there is another way, could you please tell me? Confused

see FAQ #17 , the same thing has been answered to about a dozen other users on this forum , you guys should learn to search and stop wasting my time

ok... so I read the FAQ ... and I understood that in windows there is no chmod or 777 or that kinda thing... it's for unix... ok.... And in Windows I am suppose to use the -R -A -S -H thing.... ok my question now is... how do I do this -R -A -S -H method?

NOTE: I typed in the search -R -A -S -H and it didn't find what I want...

The example is attrib -r -a -s -h

It's a dos command that sets a files attributes to
Read-Only
Archive
System
Hidden

If you want more information

Start -> Run -> cmd.exe

Type
Code:
attrib /?

in the dos window.
