Ok I did what you suggested and removed my installiation of Apache PHP MySql and Active State Perl (Do I need this installed?).

Apache, PHP and MySQL seem to be working fine. SSI is working too but Perl and ASP don't seem to be working. I remember on my other install I had to drop a copy of the .pl script in a CGI-BIN directory in Apache and tell it to only execute .pl scripts in the CGI-BIN directory (www.abc.com/cgi-bin/. I didn't see the directory to place a copy of the .pl script. Am I looking in the wrong place?

I read the directions that said to enable Apache::ASP in the config.gui, where is that file? And will this enable the ability to run ASP at the root of the sites?

I don't need xMail becaues I am running hmailserver where do I turn off xMail?

I'll keep looking for this but would appreciate a little guidance

Thanks

most of this can be done from (assuming you have set the apache2triad cp to resolve to your ip)

http://ipaddress here/apache2triadcp/

Perl and ASP Is located under:

Interpreters

Xmail is located under:

Services/Processes

Actually that doesn't work but if I am on the server I can type http://localhost/apache2triadcp and get a logon. However it doesn't recognize any log on I try. I tried reseting the password for apache2triad, then I tried removing root from .htaccess. I even tried the password listed in .htpasswd.

When I try http://ipaddress/apache2triadcp I get an Apache Object not found page.

I'm sure I don't have something configured correctly.

Sorry -- misread --

ASP can be enabled under the Apache Configuration --

or Server Address/apache2triadcp/guihttpd.cgi

As I said I can't get into it because it doesn't like any password I give it.

After much persistance I finally was able to log in. Now maybe I can finish this setup.

This is what I get when I try to run test.asp

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.
Code:

Error message:
