I just installed A2T this morning on my notebook. The password that I entered had an & character in it. This seemed to cause issues for mysql. When it was doing some configuration for mysql, it complained about not being able to connect. After the install finished, when I tried going to phpmyadmin using my password, it failed. I could connect with no password and successfully changed the password to the one with the embedded &.

This isn't a show stopper since I could change it, but thought I'd bring it to your attention. (I had an earlier version of A2T [1.5.3] installed, but uninstalled it before installing 1.5.4)

i am not sure this can be fixed , the password is passed between the shell , installer internals , scripts .. etc , i dont think i can enforce escaping or something everywhere

The issue is in version 1.5.4, it just doesn't pass the password value to mysql when installing. Reguardless of the & symbol being included. I hadn't mentioned it since there was a re-release of 1.5.4 that included some c++ dll's. I figured it was along those lines since the install script for mysql didn't seem to change.
