I have tried the solution above (or below rather) but to no avail, I am still having the same error occur.

The procedure entry point mysql_stmt_prepare could not be located in the dynamic link library LIBMYSQL.dll

please help me out, I cannot start my apache2 at all right now. thank you

V

note to windows 2000 users , you do not need this fix , kudos on the os version choice too

windows xp and 2003 users :

get iconv.rar extract to mysql/bin/ to fix mysql issue

move opssl\bin\libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll to apache2triad\bin\
get opssl.rar extract to opssl/bin/
edit httpd.conf

to

LoadFile bin\libeay32.dll
LoadFile bin\ssleay32.dll

to fix openssl issue

i will perform a silent update on the 1.x.4 releases to address this , if you do not want to manually fix get the new version next week

can see http://blog.vladalexa.com/2006/02/20/on-ms-vc-2005-reinventing-the-wheel/ for further understanding

I can't find
Quote:
LoadFile opssl\bin\libeay32.dll
LoadFile opssl\bin\ssleay32.dll

C:\apache2triad\conf\httpd.conf

Did I understand correctly that there must be these 2 lines in httpd.conf?

ok. Never mind.
I solved this problem at last.
All you need to do is:
1) stop the mysql service if it's running
(control panel->administrative tools-> services -> Apache2Triad MySql Service -> right click ->stop)
2) download this libmySQL.dll(1,519,616 bytes) from
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?libmysql
to C:\apache2triad\mysql\bin
(I've also put it in c:\WINDOWS\system32 but i don't think it's necessary)
3) start Apache2Triad Apache2 Service(from control panel->administrative tools-> services)

BTW: I'm surprised this has not been solved until now.And thanks Vlad for the great work on this project.
