Hi everyone,

Is there a reason why the myaccess.log file is getting so big -- 300MB in three months?

How can I manage that? Is there a way to erase, rotate, delete, etc. ?

Thanks
______

All right, after a bit of reading, turns out myaccess.log file is the query log file and it's growing by the minute, so I simply stopped the server, commented out the line beginning with log = .... in the my.ini file, restarted the server and deleted the humongous query file (myaccess.log). I know a lot of people think it's a good debugging tool but I can do without the query log.

I know the FAQ section answers a lot of stupid questions like mine, but for god's sake a bit of interaction wouldn't hurt either.

Thanks

linux/osx have log rotate features , windows had none in the last version i used (windows 2000)

apache comes with a tool for this rotatelogs.exe but its supposed to be a bit buggy http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/programs/rotatelogs.html

other than that i personally only log mysql database queries temporary for debugging
