I'm getting the following error when trying to E-mail from the Forum or when a user try's to get a confirmation e-mail sent.

Code:
Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 503 Authentication failed

DEBUG MODE

Line : 130
File : C:\apache2triad\htdocs\forum2\includes\smtp.php

I just migrated over from IIS. The phpBB2 mail function worked fine under IIS. The x-mail server is up and running, and it IS sending and receiving e-mail.

I can't figure out why phpBB won't work with the x-mail server... any ideas?

Have you tried to make sure your email is working correctly via the sendmail test and php mail test on the apache2triad control panel?

You may need to set it up in the admin cp, in the email, u type in your smtp info, ur username/password, usually root@localhost or root@yourdomain.com or admin@localhost or admin@yourdomain.com, i cant remember which one it was, but u can do it, it works, ill try and find out exactly later, remember to add your password in it to.
